Privacy Policy

Effective August 2026

This website, aliaturin.com ("the site"), is operated by Alia Turin ("I", "me"). This policy explains what information is collected when you use the site, how it is used, and the choices you have. The short version: I collect your email address only if you choose to give it to me, I use it only to send you the things you signed up for, and I never sell it.

What I collect, and why

• Email address. If you join my reader list through a signup form, your email address (and anything else you type into the form) is collected so I can send you newsletters, book news, and — if you signed up through a bonus-content form — the bonus content you requested. Signup uses double opt-in: you'll receive a confirmation email and are only added to the list after you confirm.
• Basic technical data. Like nearly every website, the site's hosting infrastructure automatically logs standard technical information (such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited) for security and performance purposes.

Who processes it

• MailerLite operates the signup forms and stores and sends email on my behalf. Their privacy policy is at mailerlite.com/legal/privacy-policy. The MailerLite form script may set functional cookies needed for the form to work.
• Cloudflare hosts the site and provides its security layer. Their privacy policy is at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
• BookFunnel delivers downloadable bonus content. If you download a file through BookFunnel, their handling of your data is described at bookfunnel.com/privacy.

What I don't do

I don't sell, rent, or trade your email address or any other personal information. I don't send spam. I don't run advertising trackers on this site.

Your choices and rights

• Unsubscribe anytime. Every email I send includes an unsubscribe link, and it works immediately.
• Access, correction, deletion. You can ask me at any time what information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it entirely. Email me and I'll take care of it.
• If you are in a region with specific data-protection rights (such as the EU/UK under GDPR or California under the CCPA), those rights apply to you here, including the rights above and the right to complain to your local supervisory authority.

Children

This site and my books are intended for adults. I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16; if you believe a minor has subscribed, contact me and I'll remove the address.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
